Q. Do I need a partner?

A. No, although Salsa is a partner dance, we rotate in class so you do not need to come with a partner.

 

Q. What clothes should I wear?

A. Our classes tend to be smart/casual, please dress in clothes that you are comfortable moving in, layers are good in winter as it may be cool to start but you will soon warm up.  Cool, natural fibres are best in summer when it is warm.

Q. What shoes should I wear? 

A. Please wear comfortable shoes with not too sticky soles (ie not thick rubber soles) and shoes that are secure so no flip-flops or mules.  Once you have done a good few lessons you may wish to invest in some proper dance shoes but until then you will be fine in shoes that you can comfortably turn in.  If you have problems turning and only have trainers we do sell 'dance socks' for £5 that slip over your trainers for smooth turns.

Q. I can't make every week, can I still attend?

A. Yes, absolutely!  Our classes are mainly drop-in classes and foundation moves are drilled regularly as these are the most important steps for everyone, so you may miss one week but what you missed will come back round again soon.

Q.  What style of Salsa and Bachata do you teach?

A. We teach Crossbody Salsa On1 and Bachata Moderna at our weekly classes.  We also have occasional workshops/events where we teach New York On2, Palladium/Power On2 (Mambo con Son) and Cha Cha Cha
